Day 1; Here we go!
Day 1 actually turned out to be night 1. We decided that it would be easier on the kids to travel at night. That way they got to sleep and it would seem like one less day on the road. It worked out well since it is a road we know well. Anthony's mom lives in Erie, PA, which happens to be on the way to Nova Scotia. We got into Erie at about 10:00 am and spent the rest of the day there with Anthony's mom and grandparents. We then got a GOOD nights rest for the next days travels.
side note: As an extra surprise, Anthony's sister had her twins an hour after we arrived in Erie, so we got to see two knew nephews while we were there.
