1.  Photo shoot at the Ceadr Valley Arburetum. It is a great place to let the kids run around and take pictures. They love to climb on the dinosaur bones in the big sandbox and watch the fish in the pond. There are so many little hiding palces and wonderful gardens to explore.

Tyson meat company holds an annual tug of war to help feed hungry kids. It is a fun little day of good fun and good mud! The Blackhawk  Co. Sheriffs dept. did ok this year. They held on until the last challenge. Then you can see Anthony at the back just give up as his teammate falls in to the pit.

 Ladies Camp

It has become a tradition to go out to the Boecks cabin every year. Just a little 2 day get away from the stresses of motherhood. We usually just sit around being silly, and yes, sometimes even crude. Hey...we need to let it all out so we can be good mommies for another year ;)

 

We made smores and BBQ and then just sit around seeing how long we can stay up. I hold the record for going to bed at 5am. I really only slept for an hour. Then we have a simple breakfast and wait for our bodies to wake up a bit. We like to drive around the lake, and if it is warm enough we even take a dip. See ya next year ladies. 

 



It's always fun at Grandma's house!

 

We usually try to visit Grandma Nai and our cousins once a year. More than that would be nice, but is not always possible financially. Every year the kids look forward to playing with their cousins and going to lake Erie, but especially to see Grandma! We also make a point to visit great Grandma and Grandpa Fioretti. They are not always able to get around anymore and we treasure the time we have with them!



One of my most favorite things to do in Palmyra is to watch the Hill Cummorah pageant!

It is INCREDIBLE!

the amount of people who volunteer to be in this pageant and the size of the stage on the hill just give you a taste of what goes into creating this amazing show. I would recommend going out to see this if you have not already. Even if you are not a member of our church...it is so memorable!

Our next stop was Palmyra, New York. This is where our church's history began. Such marvelous things happened here, it is hard not to feel a sense of awe when you visit!

We were able to see the home of the Smith family and get a glimpse into the kind of life they led. We were also able to go to the Temple's visitor center and walk through the Sacred Grove. This is one of my most favorite places on earth! So serene and spiritual!

I Am Canadian!
I love being a dual citizen. I love being able to call both the United States and Canada home! They are such beautiful countries with so many wonderful things to see and do. One of those beauties that both countries share is Niagara Falls. We took the kids and the Boecks there for their first time. We took a ride right up to the falls on the Maid of the mist. It was great! The power and sheer size of the falls were amazing!

This summer we had made plans with some friends, the Boeck family, to show them some fun sights out east where Anthony is from.

Our journey began with a trip to Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, OH. This was the largest amusement park we have ever been to. The rides were incredible! It was so much fun, but the smaller kids were not quite tall enough to go on some of the rides they wanted to.

Teo was too small for all of them, but he did really well considering he was in his stroller more most of the day. This is definitely a place we will go to again!

Grumpy Graduation
Tui was not a happy camper on the day of his pre-k graduation. The teachers worked so hard teaching him fun songs for them to sing to us, and my son put on the worst grumpy face and pouted all the way through it. LOVELY!

He really did love pre-k and his wonderful teachers! I know he will miss them next year.

Catching up with Teo

As we all know, babies grow fast. They change not only in appearance, but in personality as well. Teo is no different. Sometimes I feel like I missed out on his first year of life because I had so many other children around. Any working mother has felt the same, I am sure.

We also have a lack of family around. The grandparents see my kids even less, so here are some pictures to catch you up on all the little changes in Teo's life.

Rock Star!

Teo is one groovy baby! He loves music. It doesn't matter where we are or what type of music it is..he gets his head boppin and just goes with the flow!
